The winner: Ann Thompson, Fraser:

Designed and executed by sculptor Jim Hoy, it’s called, “Oh, Now I Get It,” and sits in front of the Fraser Library. Hoy carved life-sized sculptures of historical figures and placed them in a park next to the Fraser Visitor Information Center, called Walk Through History Park. These sculptures represent vignettes of western history. Some are well-known local people: Doc Susie Anderson, Jim Bridger and Jeremiah Johnson. Hoy’s piece in front of the Fraser Library represents an early teacher and her students reading from their primers.
