GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A Fort Carson sergeant is being ordered to serve 10 years to life on probation after pleading guilty in an online sex sting.
Thirty-three-year-old Sergeant Gregory Alan Sallee was accused of using Internet chat rooms to try to arrange meetings with minors for sex in Mesa and Jefferson counties.
In addition to probation, Sallee is also being required to register as a sex offender. He will face prison time if he violates probation.
Sallee is currently assigned to the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, but Sallee’s attorney says the Army will soon discharge him.
He still faces charges in Jefferson County.
