A preliminary hearing was set today for the man accused of stabbing and running over a Douglas County real estate broker last month.

Warren Worthington, 45, was in court this morning; his next court date is May 1.

Worthington has been charged with murder in the death of Henry Blair, 61, of Castle Pines Village.

A passer-by found Blair’s body Jan. 6 near his white Mercedes sport utility vehicle just off Interstate 25 and Happy Canyon Road.

The Douglas County coroner said Blair was stabbed and run over.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has said Blair was killed in a business transaction, “specifically a landlord-tenant relationship with the victim being the landlord.”

Worthington owned and operated an automotive detail and paint business, Creative Edge Design and Performance.

He was renting space in southwest Denver, and Blair acted as an agent in that lease.
