Piotr Anderszewski will perform Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Newman Center Polish-Hungarian pianist Piotr Anderszewski is widely regarded as one of the most exciting pianists of his generation. Since first coming to wide public attention at the 1990 Leeds Piano Competition, he has become a familiar figure on the international concert platform, recognized for the intensity and originality of his interpretations. His prestigious awards include the Szymanowski Prize (1999), Royal Philharmonic Society’s Best Instrumentalist (2001) and Gilmore Artist (2002). He has over a dozen recordings to his credit on the Philips, Virgin Classics, Harmonia Mundi and Accord labels. Tonight’s program will include selections from J. S. Bach’s English Suites.
