Kansas State athletic director Tim Weiser is leaving the school to become the deputy commissioner of the Big 12 Conference.
Weiser, who was Colorado State’s athletic director for three years, will effectively serve as second in command in the conference behind Dan Beebe.
Colorado Golf Hall to induct three
The Colorado Golf Hall of Fame on Thursday voted in three new members, golfers/teachers Sharon Miller and Bob Byman, and the late Dave Nelson, who covered golf for 26 years for the Rocky Mountain News.
Miller, who lives in Avondale, Ariz., won three LPGA events and was a teaching pro in the Denver area for 25 years. Byman, a graduate of Fairview High School, was a three-time All-American at Wake Forest and played on the PGA Tour for four years. Induction ceremonies will be Oct. 5 at the Inverness Hotel and Conference Center near the Denver Tech Center.
