GREELEY — An eviction turned into a suicide prevention in Greeley on Tuesday, when a Weld County sheriff’s deputy found the tenant bleeding from his wrists.

When Deputy Matt Moll went to the home in the 2400 block of 11th Street to serve the eviction notice, he found the man in a pool of blood on a mattress. The man was unconscious but alive. He was rushed by ambulance to North Colorado Medical Center.

The Sheriff’s Office didn’t identify the man, and it wasn’t linking the suicide attempt to the eviction because the man had known for a week that he was to be kicked out.
