An eviction turned into a suicide prevention in Greeley Tuesday, when a Weld County deputy found the tenant bleeding from his wrists.
When Deputy Matt Moll went to the home in the 2400 block of 11th Street to serve the eviction notice, he found the man in a pool of blood on a mattress. The man was unconscious but alive. He was rushed by ambulance to North Colorado Medical Center.
The sheriff’s office didn’t identify the man, and they aren’t pinning the possible suicide attempt on the eviction, since the man had known for a week that he was to be kicked out.
A press release said the injuries may have been a day old.
