Your clue was: Book it: There are at least two faces in this picture that have made brief but splashy impacts in Denver over the past few years (one via tour, one via the Denver Center Theatre Company). Here are more hints: The company was founded by a Colorado native and now performs out of Southern California. And someone (else) in this photo has been on “The Bold and the Beautiful” since 2002.
OK, this one was tough. It’s “The Misanthrope,” by the Southern California-based Pegasus Repertory Theatre, which brought the play to Aspen. But I couldn’t resist once I started seeing all the cool names. That’s Tawny Rene Hamilton in the center, surrounded by, from back left, Charlotte Booker, Dan Manning, Donald Sage Mackay and Aspen native and company founder David Ledingham.
Charlotte Booker was a hoot in “The Clean House” and “Season’s Greetings” at the Denver Center. Ledingham went to the University of Colorado, where we both got our eyes stabbed out together in a production of “Equus.” David was recently featured in the national touring production of “The Light in the Piazza” at the Buell Theatre, and last summer he was back at Theatre Aspen directing “The Last Five Years.”
Turns out it was an overstatement (OK, outright error) to say someone else in this photo has been on “The Bold and the Beautiful” since 2002. Tawny Rene Hamilton has had two runs on “B&B” — once in 2002 and again in 2008 (first as a minister, then as Miss Benton), But she did appear as Suzie Klassen in one episode of the best show on television, “The Shield,” in ’02.
Our winner: No one, bummer. I’ll take the bullet on that. I am a photo-quizzing misanthrope.
