Apparently what happened in Boston, stays in Boston. News that the Rockies reached the World Series clearly never reached Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas Hilton, the world’s largest sports book, set the Rockies’ over/under for victories at 83. The NL champs won 90 games last season, yet are picked to finish fourth behind Arizona (87 1/2), Los Angeles (86 1/2) and San Diego (84 1/2).
The Mets are favored to take over as NL champs, with their over/under set at 93 1/2.
Said shortstop Troy Tulowitzki, upon learning of the prediction: “That’s fine. We know what we have to do.”
