MADRID, Spain — Spain’s prime minister and the opposition leader clashed over the Iraq war and the Madrid terrorist bombings of 2004 during a debate Monday, their last head- to-head showdown before tightly contested parliamentary elections this weekend.
In a near repeat of a debate a week earlier, they interrupted each other constantly and loudly, waved newspaper clippings or papers with tables and charts, bickered over the price of milk, bread and eggs, and accused each other of lying.
