Next month’s NCAA Frozen Four at the Pepsi Center has long been sold out. Fans without tickets might want to hang around Air Force coach Frank Serratore in case the Falcons make the national semifinals.
“I have my tickets,” Serratore said Wednesday during a news conference for the event, “but hopefully I won’t have to use them.”
Kroenke Sports executive Paul Andrews used his time to state there is “no bigger event than the Frozen Four.”
To which Mayor John Hickenlooper was quick to point out a little thing called the Democratic National Convention.
“It’s a warm-up, or I think it’s called a chilldown, for the minor convention we’re going to have in August,” the mayor joked.
