Slick roads paved the way for multi-car crashes this morning in Adams County.

The string of accidents happened at about 6:40 a.m. at and near the intersection of Greenwood Boulevard and Elmwood Lane, said Trooper Ryan Sullivan, a Colorado State Patrol Spokesman.

The intersection has a four-way stop sign and is on the southeast corner of Sherrelwood Park.

“It is multi vehicles and multi crashes,” Sullivan said.

Nine vehicles were damaged, but dozens of vehicles were caught up in the domino affect of the accidents and delayed in traffic. Only one minor injury was reported, Sullivan said.

Crews are in the process of getting damaged vehicles out of the area and trucks are laying down sand on the roads.

The accidents are under investigation.
