Getting your player ready...
You may have noticed last week’s Class 5A Sweet 16 round in boys and girls basketball came with a third site. Ordinarily, there have been two. Loveland’s Budweiser Events Center and Colorado Springs’ World Arena have been the choices recently, but the new Lockridge Arena at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden hosted two games each night. (There were three each at the other two sites.) It went over well at the 2,500-seat facility and kept the largest class within the Denver area. The one concern? State officials would like more parking.
