Kipling Street, which was closed between 10th Avenue and Colfax Avenue for about 12 hours, was reopened at 2:30 a.m. this morning, said Stacey Stegman, spokeswoman for the Colorado Department of Transportation.

A gas line was ruptured between 2:30 and 3 p.m. Tuesday by a crew working on a FasTracks project, said Stegman. Stegman said the workers were not CDOT employees.

Kipling, one of the main north-south streets in Lakewood, was closed during Tuesday evening’s rush hour.
