GOLDEN — Sentencing has been continued until April 22 for a Conifer man who shot the family dog last year after the animal took food off of his plate.
Devin Shane Calhoun, 36, was to have been sentenced today in Jefferson County District Court for aggravated animal cruelty.
Court documents state that Calhoun took the dog outside and shot it. The dog, whose name is Lucky, survived.
