According to Internet recruiting sites, the Colorado men’s basketball team has received an oral commitment from Ebuka Anyaorah, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard at North Gwinnett High School in suburban Atlanta.
Anyaorah, whose cousin, Conrad Obi, is a redshirt freshman defensive end on the CU football team, earned all-state honors after averaging 26.3 points as a senior. According to , Anyaorah also considered Texas A&M, Colorado State, Wake Forest, Georgia and Georgia Tech.
“(Colorado) needed me and I needed them,” Anyaorah told .

Prout player of the week.
The National Lacrosse League tabbed Colorado Mammoth captain Gavin Prout its player of the week after he scored three goals and added six assists in the team’s 11-6 win over the host Calgary Roughnecks on Friday. Prout leads the league in assists with 41 through nine games.
Eagles fall on the road.
The host Youngstown SteelHounds kept the Colorado Eagles scoreless on six power-play chances and earned a 3-2 win in a Central Hockey League game.
Ed McGrane scored twice for the Eagles, and Aaron Schneekloth had two assists.
