That’s the advice from Grand Junction police for anyone who receives a particular e-mail.
Authorities say an e-mail scheme now operating threatens recipients with death if they don’t pay up.
Grand Junction police services technician Sheridan Olin says she’s received two reports in the past two weeks of residents getting the e-mail—but she says if she gets two complaints, there are more out there.
Police say the e-mails usually have a subject line reading –quote– “Watch your back, Somebody wants you dead.” The e-mail claims the sender has been contracted to kill recipients, but they can save their lives by paying off the contract.
People who receive such e-mails can report them to federal authorities at .
