A Grand Junction man who crashed his car is in critical condition this morning following a car chase yesterday that reached speeds of 90 mph.
The Colorado State Patrol said a trooper tried to pull over Reggie Trujillo, 26, on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Trujillo drove off, with the trooper in pursuit. Trujillo lost control and hit a power pole.
He was extricated from his car and taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction.
The CSP statement said charges against Trujillo are pending.
