Just when Erica Kane thought she was out of options, the world’s richest man may come to her rescue. Warren Buffett will make a cameo on the ABC daytime soap “All My Children” in May, in which he makes a prison visit to Erica, a character convicted of illegal insider trading. Buffett, 77, plays himself in the episode, show publicity director Michael Cohen said.

Buffett appears with actress Susan Lucci, who plays Erica, and Jill Larson, who plays Erica’s friend Opal Cortlandt. In one scene, Buffett excuses himself to take a phone call from Microsoft chairman Bill Gates.

Buffett, who also appeared on the soap in 1992, figures to supplement his Berkshire Hathaway income with the television gig: One-day pay for a daytime actor is $759, according to the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.
