Avalanche veterans Peter Forsberg and Adam Foote did not practice today as they were held out as a precaution by the team. They are expected to play in Game 1 of the Avs’ first-round playoff series with the Minnesota Wild beginning Wednesday night at St. Paul, Minn.
Colorado coach Joel Quenneville said both players are healthy, but were given the day off.
Forsberg met the media afterwards and said he was “feeling good” and expects to practice Tuesday.
