BOULDER, Colo.—Boulder police are investigating whether high school students are staging organized fights, the second such inquiry in a month.

Police say they broke up a fight among New Vista High School students on Friday at an elementary school campus. A witness who reported the fight said 15 to 20 students were watching and that it looked organized.

Most of the teens fled when officers arrived, but three were questioned.

No citations have been issued. Police say they’re trying to determine who else was involved.

Last month, Boulder police ticketed about a dozen Fairview High School students after an online video showed them brawling in organized fights.
