The Colorado Rapids have signed Scottish forward Tom McManus after he impressed the team on a trial this past off-season. The 27-year-old native of Glasgow is in his 11th season as a professional.
“We are pleased to add a striker with the international experience Tom has,” said head coach Fernando Clavijo. “Tom impressed us with his forward play when we had him in camp with us in London.”
McManus spent most of his career with Hibernian in Edinburgh, with loan stints with East Fife, Airdrie and Boston United during that time. He also has played for Dundee, Falkirk and Dunfermline Athletic.
The Rapids waived defender Dan Gargan and midfielder Scott Campbell.
