DENVER — A new report shows about 8,300 residents seeking to save their homes have sought help from the Colorado Foreclosure Hotline since January.
The Colorado Foreclosure Prevention Task Force data also shows the hot line received about 26,000 calls from its start in October 2006 to December 2007.
The numbers were issued today.
During 2007, about 70 percent of calls came from Adams, Arapahoe and Douglas counties. The number of calls each month ranged from a low of 1,100 in November to 2,625 in April.
The hot line is a public-private partnership aimed at helping homeowners deal with foreclosure. It is staffed by 26 nonprofit housing agencies.
