More than 7,500 Oracle experts are in Denver this week for Collaborate 08, a five-day conference focused on Oracle users and related technology. Charles Phillips, Jr., Oracle president delivered the keynote Monday at the Colorado Convention Center.

Redwood Shores, Calif.,- based Oracle is the world’s largest enterprise software provider. The company acquired PeopleSoft in 2004. PeopleSoft merged with Denver-based J.D. Edwards in 2003.

The third annual event is expected to offer more than 550 customer- and expert-led sessions, informal events, roundtables, and presentation from Oracle company leaders. Exhibitors, including several from Colorado are also on hand to exhibit software and technology that works with the database company’s offerings.
