Fort Lewis junior Luke Tanner shot a 4-under-par 138 through the first two rounds, tying for the lead Monday at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference men’s championship tournament at Hillcrest Golf Course in Durango.
Tanner and Western New Mexico senior Greg Pool were two shots ahead of CU-Colorado Springs senior Todd Napikoski. The third and final round is today.
Fort Lewis led the eight-team standings with a combined 286 total in the first round, but CU-Colorado Springs took the lead after shooting a 281 in the second round. Fort Lewis fell to third after firing a 292 in the second round.
Mammoth trio in spotlight.
Colorado Mammoth players Josh Sims, Nenad Gajic and Dylan Llord are scheduled to make a national television appearance this morning from Boulder. They will join Al Roker of the “Today” show on NBC during the program’s “Lend a Hand Today” series.
