A cold front moved through northeastern Colorado overnight bringing cooler weather to the Denver area. High temperatures today should be about 10 to 15 degrees lower than yesterday.
There’s a slight chance – 10 percent – for afternoon showers in Denver and the high temperature should be about 61 degrees under partly cloudy skies, the National Weather Service reports.
Today’s cooler weather will decrease the chance of wildland fire danger today in northeastern Colorado and other parts of the state, the weather service said.
Tonight in Denver the low temperature should be about 35 degrees with light winds out of the northwest at about 6 mph, according to the weather service.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be sunny in Denver with a high temperature of 69 degrees Tuesday and 75 degrees on Wednesday, the weather service said.
Wednesday should be breezy in Denver with winds gusting up to 24 mph, according to the weather service.
In the mountains today, mostly cloudy skies will bring a 20 percent chance of snow to Vail as the high temperature climbs to about 47 degrees, the weather service said. Tomorrow should be mostly sunny in Vail with a high temperature near 55 degrees.
