A dismissed employee of Xcel Energy has filed suit in U.S. District Court in Denver, alleging age and racial discrimination.
The lawsuit claims that Jeffrey Sedillos was dismissed from his position as general manager of contracting and competitive resources and was unable to get a different job at Xcel because he is Hispanic and was 51 years old when terminated in 2006.
An Xcel spokesman said late Tuesday the company would not immediately comment.
