The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for northeastern Colorado from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. today.
The outlook calls for wind shear, severe thunderstorms, large hail and “the potential for tornadoes,” according to the weather service.
The potential for hazardous weather should hit the Fort Morgan and Limon areas by mid-afternoon, the weather service warns.
There is also a “red flag warning” from noon to 10 p.m. El Paso, Pueblo, Fremont, Huerfano, Las Animas, Crowley and Otero counties. That means conditions are prime for wildfires.
Along the Front Range and foothills today, gusty southwest winds will keep the air extremely dry – humidity should be less than 15 percent – creating favorable conditions for spreading wildland fires, the weather service warns.

Tonight in Denver, skies will be mostly clear and the low temperature should drop to about 44 degrees.
Tomorrow should be mostly cloudy in Denver with a 10 percent chance for afternoon thundershowers and a high temperature of about 65 degrees.
