Qwest said Thursday that it would begin offering higher Internet speeds in many of its top markets this year as part of its $300 million network expansion.
The new services include:Qwest Connect Titanium, $46.99 a month with connection speeds up to 12 megabits per second, and Qwest Connect Quantum, $99.99 a month for speeds up to 20 megabits per second.
Customers can go to and enter their ZIP code or phone number to check availability, the company said.
This month, Qwest competitor Comcast rolled out monthly Internet service in Minneapolis with download speeds of up to 50 megabits per second.
