An argument at an Aurora bar led to the murder and suicide of a couple in their 20s early this morning, authorities say.
The man apparently drove to Scooter’s Bar and Grill to confront his girlfriend, who he fatally shot in the parking lot before turning the gun on himself, according to the Aurora Police Department.
The department is withholding the names of the victim and gunman until family can be notified.
The shooting took place shortly after 1 a.m. outside the bar located at 13698 E. Alameda Avenue near Interstate 225.
Both were dead by the time authorities arrived. Detectives found the gun at the scene, according to police reports.
