Two men were arrested Sunday after they allegedly stole a car from a Wal-Mart parking lot in Longmont.

Longmont police said the pair first stole car keys from an employee collecting carts at 9:19 a.m. in the parking lot of the Supercenter at 2514 Main St. Eight minutes later, they came back to make the 42-year-old male employee show them where his car was parked.

Police said the two men then stole the employee’s car.

Officials reviewed parking-lot surveillance cameras and interviewed several witnesses.

On Sunday night, police arrested Jacob Sanchez, 17, of Mead and Keith Beyers, 19, who is homeless.
