A bicyclist was injured this afternoon as she crossed East Belleview Avenue at South Syracuse Street and was hit by a BMW.
The woman sustained injuries to her head and lower legs and was rushed to Swedish Medical Center in Englewood after the accident, which happened at about 2 p.m.
The bicyclist’s name was not released by Greenwood Village police, who would only say that she is a woman in her 20s.
The driver of the BMW was described as a woman in her 30s.
Police said the cause is still under investigation.
