Snow should continue to fall today in the Colorado mountains, with scattered snow showers expected for parts of the Front Range and Eastern Plains.
A heavy-snow warning posted by the the National Weather Service for the northern and central mountains of western Colorado will continue through 3 p.m. today.
In Denver today, skies should be mostly cloudy, with a high temperature of 45 degrees, the weather service said, and winds gusting to 44 mph. Today’s snow accumulation in the city, if any, should be less than one inch.
Saturday’s weather in Denver should be mild, with mostly sunny skies, a high temperature near 57 degrees and calm winds out of the southeast topping out at 9 mph, the weather service reports. Sunday should be warmer still in the city, with a high temperature of about 68 degrees under partly sunny skies.
In Vail today, the weather service forecast calls for a 70 percent chance of snow showers, mainly before 3 p.m., and possible snow accumulations of up to 2 inches. The high temperature today in Vail should top out at about 41 degrees, and winds are forecast to be between 15 and 20 mph.
Saturday in Vail should be partly sunny, with a high temperature near 51 degrees.
