Aaron Cook is the Rockies’ rock. While most everything else has crumbled in the early going, Cook (4-1, 2.41 ERA) has been solid. Tuesday’s 3-2 victory over the Giants marked the fourth time Cook started a game and the Rockies ended a losing streak. Cook is 4-0 with a 1.80 ERA over his last five starts. The Dodgers’ Derek Lowe (2-1, 2.88) is 5-5 with a 5.08 ERA in 13 starts vs. the Rockies. Brad Hawpe is 11-for-25 (.440) with three homers and nine RBIs against the right-hander.
