Getting your player ready...
Mark Redman (2-2, 6.99) has pitched through paina bruised foot and an irritating case of plantar fasciitis — and now must perform with pressure. His rotation spot could be hanging in the balance with tonight’s game. The Rockies’ main request of Redman is to gobble innings to spare the bullpen. He has been unable to work more than six innings in any start but showed improvement during a weekend relief appearance, getting five of five outs on groundballs. Braden Looper (4-1, 3.86) hasn’t had much success vs. the Rockies — 7.04 ERA over last three seasons. Troy E. Renck, The Denver Post
