In case you haven’t been paying attention, Mother’s Day is Sunday. We dropped the hint last week, asking entrants to The Denver Post $25 Haiku Contest to versify on the subject of “Mom.” And as much as we enjoyed the way Kristina Scott of Broomfield forgave her mom for the gift of hips and thighs, it was Sumiko Trammell of Littleton who showed us how haiku is really done:
