The Transportation Security Administration has started a 90-day test of enhanced methods for screening employees who work at Denver International Airport.

In February, TSA said it would conduct the three-month pilot program on employee screening at seven U.S. airports, including DIA, Boston’s Logan International Airport, Kansas City International and Jacksonville International in Florida.

The pilot program at DIA will evaluate the current biometric access-control process, which uses fingerprints to verify an employee’s identity.

During the test period, TSA also will increase random physical screening of employees, said Carrie Harmon, an agency spokeswoman.
