REDS LOSE BIG LEAD, WIN THRILLER
CINCINNATI — The Reds blew a six-run lead in the ninth, but Paul Janish singled home the tiebreaking run in only his second big-league at-bat for a 7-6, 10-inning victory over the Marlins on Wednesday night. His opposite-field hit to right on an 0-2 changeup from Renyel Pinto (1-2) brought a wave of teammates onto the field for a joyous pummeling, one that left Janish with a bloody nose.

PHILADELPHIA — Tom Glavine (1-1) pitched 5 2/3 effective innings to earn his first win for Atlanta in six years and Chipper Jones, Yunel Escobar and Kelly Johnson hit solo homers against Brett Myers (2-4).

NEW YORK — Ryan Zimmerman hit a long homer, Tim Redding (5-3) pitched two-hit ball for six innings and Jesus Flores hit a tiebreaking single with two outs in the seventh.
