First Data Corp., the credit- card payment processor bought by Kohlberg, Kravis Roberts & Co. in September, said its previously announced acquisition of InComm Holdings might cost more than $1 billion.
First Data will spend $980 million for the purchase and make contingent payments of as much as $250 million over the next three years, the Greenwood Village-based company said in a statement. The deal is expected to be completed in the second half of this year.
InComm is an Atlanta-based distributor of gift cards and prepaid wireless products.
