An unconscious woman was found face down in a retention pond at Salisbury Equestrian Park in Parker this morning, authorities say.

Construction workers saw the elderly woman walking and then, a short time later, spotted her floating in the pond, said Cheryl Poage, spokeswoman for the Parker West Metro Fire Authority.

It is unclear how she ended up in the water, Poage said.

The construction workers pulled the woman out of the water at about 11:30 a.m. and began CPR, Poage said.

The woman was still unconscious when rushed to a local hospital, Poage said.
