The Mesa County coroner has determined that neither driver killed last week in a fatal crash was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Toxicology results for Jenny Trover, 26, of Fruita, and Kathryn Disparti, 48, of Napa, Calif., were negative, Chief Deputy Coroner Dr. Robert A. Kurtzman said in a news release.
The accident happened May 12, when Disparti’s minivan drove the wrong way on eastbound I-70 near Grand Junction. The minivan crashed head-on into Trover’s Monte Carlo, killing both drivers.
Trover’s 5-month-old son was injured but survived.
Investigators estimated both vehicles were going more than 60 mph.
