Colorado airports and their visitors contribute an estimated $32.2 billion a year to the Colorado economy, according to a study by the state Department of Transportation’s Division of Aeronautics.
The study included the economic impact of commercial and general-aviation airports, aviation services and spending by visitors who arrive in Colorado by air. A similar study in 2003 estimated the impact at $23.5 billion.
