HOLLY, Colo.—The mayor of this small southeastern Colorado town where a tornado killed two people last year sent a message of condolence to northeastern Colorado Thursday.
“Our spirits are wounded anew by the reports of loss of life, damage and carnage,” W. Bruce Roup’s statement read.
“Our community will commit to holding you in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time,” he said.
A twister slammed into Holly, a farm community, on March 28, 2007. It destroyed 43 homes and damaged 137 others.
