The Rapids are in the final stages of negotiations to play an exhibition game Aug. 3 against Everton FC of the English Premier League at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, Rapids media director Jason Gilham confirmed.
The official announcement is expected this week. The Chicago Fire announced Friday it has a match against Everton scheduled for July 30.
The Blues, behind current stars Ayegbeni Yakubu and U.S. international Tim Howard, finished fifth in the EPL this season.
