DENVER — A bargaining team from Denver’s teachers union and officials from the school district will return to the negotiation table this morning.

The talks are at an impasse over the teachers’ contract, with Denver Public Schools offering to increase base pay and provide incentives.

The Denver Classroom Teachers Association will submit a counterproposal with more money dedicated to salary-building rather than bonuses.

Union president Kim Ursetta said that she is waiting to hear what the counterproposals are over time issues, peer assistance and reviews.
