Getting your player ready...

The six styles of sleeping bags making up GoLite’s Adrenaline Series offer about as close to an athletic-cut, tailored fit as you are likely to find in overnight camping attire.

The high-warmth efficiency enhanced by the bags’ center-front half-zip help heat your core, although the mummy-style tailoring and SkullGlove hood aren’t for the claustrophobic. While bigger backpackers may shy away from the narrow sacks, the most obvious bonus for gram-shaving fast packers is found in the feather- light weight and impressive compressibility.

The 40-degree bag (MSRP: $250, pictured) checks in at 1 pound, 3 ounces. With 800-fill down, ultra-light 20-denier mini-ripstop nylon shells and gender-specific sizing, Boulder- based GoLite has combined the ingredients of innovative product design, materials and performance to nab one of 17 Editor’s Choice Awards from Backpacker Magazine for 2008. Adrenaline bags are also available in 0-degree and 20-degree models.
