Family members of a woman who police say was strangled and sexually assaulted before her house was set on fire spoke from their Fort Collins home to the media this afternoon.

Linnea Dick, 20, was found dead Friday morning after a neighbor reported smoke coming from a window on the west side of Dick’s Fort Collins home, officials said.

Her father, Don Dick; her sister, Andrea Gliva; her cousin, Melissa Carroll; and her aunt, Rose Carroll, pleaded for anyone who knows anything about the fire to contact authorities.

They held Linnea’s Chihuahua, who survived the fire. They said she loved animals and had many pets. One of her cats was killed in the blaze.

Police still are searching for Dick’s teal 1997 Nissan Altima, believed stolen by the suspects in the murder and fire. It bears Colorado plate number 015KFH, and the front and back license plates are displayed in holders with small red skulls that look like cherries or dots from a distance, Davis said.

Anyone with information about the car or the case should contact Detective Kristy Volesky at 970-224-6116.
