LOS ANGELES — The Rockies will attempt to end their franchise-record 12-game road losing streat tonight with a more conventional lineup.

Ryan Spilborghs’ left wrist has healed, so he will play left field and bat third as the Rockies look for their first victory on the final leg of a 10-game road trip.

Colorado will face the Dodgers’ Derek Lowe, who has fallen on hard times recently. He was one of baseball’s worst starting pitchers last month, but has historically pitched well against the Rockies in Dodger Stadium.

The Rockies will counter with rookie right-hander Greg Reynolds. He admittedly created mechanical flaws in his last outing, leading to a career-high eight walks against the Phillies in a loss. He will focus tonight on pitching to contact with his sinkerball.

A look at the Rockies’ lineup tonight:

CF Taveras

RF Smith

LF Spilborghs

1B Helton

3B Atkins

2B Stewart

C Torrealba

SS Quintanilla

RHP Reynolds

Footnotes

It’s possible the Rockies will make an adjustment to their bullpen today. Ryan Speier, who was on a rehab assignment at Class-A Asheville with a shoulder injury, arrived at Dodger Stadium before batting practice. It’s unclear if he will be activated tonight.

…Luis Vizcaino (shoulder injury) is also close to re-joining the team after pitching well Sunday with Triple-A Colorado Springs.
