New indictments were handed down against alleged gang leader Brian Kenneth Hicks in U.S. District Court on Wednesday that accuse him of being a drug kingpin.
Hicks was named in the superseding indictment along with Willie Clark and Daniel Harris, two men who Denver police sources have said were riding in a Chevrolet Tahoe that was used in the fatal drive-by shooting of Denver Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams.
The indictment charges that Hicks was the leader of a continuing criminal enterprise and that he, Clark and Harris conspired to possess and distribute crack-cocaine.
