RTD reversed course today and said it will retain rush-hour G-Line light-rail service between the Nine Mile and Lincoln stations on the southeast line.
Last month, the Regional Transportation District announced service changes planned for August that included elimination of all G service. At the time, RTD said ridership was too low on the G line to support train service.
The agency now says there are enough riders to support continuation of peak-commuter service during morning and evening rush hours.
RTD still is proposing to eliminate all off-peak G-Line service.
On Monday, the agency will hold public hearings on the remaining recommended cuts in G-Line service and other service changes.
